New SOCs Successfully Delivered to TAL and to Be Put into Use Soon
TAL took delivery of 50 containers with the “TAL” logo on May 31, 2022, marking the official launch of a new mode of transportation and laying a solid foundation for TAL to operate the container shipping business independently.
Guided by its development plan, TAL improved the product support services and prepared for the procurement of shipper-owned containers (SOCs) at the beginning of this year, aiming to bring more efficient and stable services to clients. The new SOCs with the main code of TAL and the specification of 50*40HC are painted in vibrant blue, which aligns with the business philosophy of TAL. The containers are expected to arrive at the port of Ho Chi Minh in mid-June and will be used for the Shanghai/Ningbo/Qingdao/Shekou-Ho Chi Minh round-trip routes.
Against the global backdrop of container shortage, the gradual application of SOCs in international transport by TAL will effectively alleviate the problem of container shortage, meet the demand for cargo import and export of China-Vietnam and other major trading regions, significantly increase TAL’s shipping capacity, enhance the capability and core competitiveness of serving industries in the hinterland regions, and facilitate cargo canvassing and the opening of new routes.
